Ivette Viñas

Biography

 

Ivette Viñas, known as The Red Diva of Jazz, is a Cuban American jazz singer, actress and entrepreneur. She began her career as an opera singer but then gradually made the switch to musical theatre after seeing her first Broadway Musical and ultimately falling in love with the artform.


Upon graduation from the prestigious New World School of the Arts, Ivette embarked on a near decade-long journey to New York City performing in New York's most noted clubs and theatres. Upon her return to her hometown of Miami, Florida she was given the opportunity of a lifetime to perform with the famed and Grammy nominated Big Band Orchestra, The Tropicana All Stars, in Las Vegas.


In 2010 she starred in the award winning film, "Neuralgia" and since then has appeared in film festivals worldwide. She performing regularly with the acclaimed Las Vegas meets Copacabana-style show, "American Latin Show" directed by Grammy-nominated bassist, Ranses Colon. 


In 2020, Ivette will be reviving her one-woman show, "An Evening with Marlene", where she personifies the legendary actress, Marlene Dietrich.


For 20 years, Ivette has worked professionally in the entertainment industry and performed in New York and Miami's most well-known clubs, accompanied by the industries' most stellar musicians.
